To Join:

  1. Fill out the Be a Volunteer Leader adult application form.

  2. Fill out the medical form.

  3. Turn in registration money for the month you are joining to the Scoutmaster.  (See Be a Volunteer Leader application for the amount.)  Our year begins in January.

You will need to purchase the following items at the Boy Scout Office & Shop, 7540 Ed Bluestein Blvd, Austin (at intersection of highways 290 and 183, Tel. 926-6363), or from JCPenny, or through the BSA's national Scouting merchandise catalog:

Uniform for men:
Shirt ($26.90)
Shorts ($36.60) or Trousers ($39.95)
Socks for shorts ($4.85) or for pants ($4.25)
Belt ($5.90)
Hat ($9.15)
Neckerchief slide ($2.10)

Uniform for ladies:
Blouse ($26.10)
Culottes ($30.95) or Pants ($39.95) or Shorts ($36.60) and/or Skirt ($28.10)

The troop neckerchief, numeral ‘77’, council insignia, world scout crest emblem, shoulder loops, and office emblem are available from the troop.  Please see the inside cover of the Boy Scout Handbook which shows where these are to be located on the uniform shirt.
